Andreas Faludi

Andreas Faludi (1940) is a graduate and holds a doctorate of Vienna University of Technology and an honorary doctorate of Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden. He is professor of spatial policy systems in Europe at Delft University of Technology. Previous appointments at Radboud University Nijmegen (1999-2004), the University of Amsterdam (1977-1998), Delft University of Technology (1973-77) and at the Oxford Polytechnic (1968-73). Honorary Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (1993) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (2008). Books on planning theory and Dutch and European planning, the latest ones (with B. Waterhout) on ‘The Making of the European Spatial Development Perspective’ (2002) and multi-authored volumes on ‘European Spatial Planning’ (2002) ; ‘Territorial Cohesion and the European Model of Society’ (2007) and ‘European Spatial Research and Policy (2008). A further work, ‘Cohesion, Coherence, Cooperation : European Spatial Planning in the Making ?’ is due to be published in October 2010.
